Yamaha YTS-32 purple logo

I jus finished a full maintenance check on a purple logo Yamaha YTS-32 tenor saxophone, and thought it might be a good idea share my thoughts on this horn. The Yamaha purple logo horns seem to be the best (from all series and types) and there's a real cult following on this. Why?...... Well : just try one and compare it with a regular sax from the same series. In this case I compared this YTS-32 (after the maintenance check) with an older YTS-62 (no purple logo) from a customer : there's hardly any difference in feel or sound.

Conn 28M Connstallation

Wow..... Probably the nicest example of the famous and rare 28M alto saxophone: the best saxophone ever produced by Conn (and probably the best alto ever).  This one is in almost mint condition and it's really worth having a look at the pictures in the attachment, as this is a completely different saxophone design.....

Conn 6M en 10M saxofoons

MROsaxofoons beschikt over een aantal vintage Conn 6M en 10M saxofoons , in vrijwel alle mogelijke varianten. Bouwjaren vanaf 1925 tot midden jaren '60. De volgende types zijn aanwezig : New Wonder II 'ChuBerry', Transtional, 6M Transtional, 6M Ladyface, 6M Artist (zonder ladyface gravering),  28M Connquerer, 10M Ladyface en 10M Artist (zonder ladyface gravering). Selmer serie 9 versus serie 9* clarinet :

Both the Selmer serie 9 and serie 9* are professional clarinets for the advanced player. They are not the same but there seems to be lots of confusion and incorrect info on these models.......

Buffet Crampon klarinet : verschil tussen RC en E13

In november 2017 heeft MROsaxofoons twee populaire klarinetten van Buffet Crampon tegelijkertijd gereviseerd. Dat was tevens een prima kans om eindelijk eens nauwkeurig te bepalen wat de daadwerkelijke verschillen zijn tussen deze twee types. De RC wordt beschouwd als het instap-professionele model; de E13 als een Intermediate model. Omdat ik beide types al vele malen eerder heb gereviseerd had ik al in gedachte dat de verschillen minimaal waren, zeker bij de oudere modellen.
