Another Buescher New Aristocrat alto saxophone has been added to the collection. This one is very special: this sax with serial number 2671xx has the original lacquer and the rare neck with number '3'. This is almost identical to the sax played by Sigurd Rascher, the famous saxophone soloist. He played on a gold-plated one with serial number from the same range ... Extremely rare, and also in very good original condition. Gold-plated Norton springs, Snap-in pads, original protective cap, lyre and original case: all complete.

This original warranty card from 1927 was hidden in the case of an alto saxophone Conn New Wonder II (ChuBerry). These warranty cards are rare and most have disappeared over time. It is in very good condition and contains valuable information on instrument maintenance in the nine pages of the booklet; a must for every Conn enthusiast. I have scanned all pages: see attachment.

Another tenor saxophone Conn 10M Ladyface has arrived at MROsaxophones. It is getting more and more difficult to find a nice one, most of them are now well worn, overhauled several times and with the necessary dents and repair marks. However, this 10M is in excellent condition, with beautiful original lacquer and without damage! A real asset to the collection, take a quick look at the photos! Built in late 1948, with straight tone holes. After an extensive service in June 2020, it is completely ready for a second life.

The older Yanagisawa saxophones are real hidden gems. Handmade, in small series, and a formidable competitor of the Selmer MK6. Here is a tenor T4, released under the name 'Continental'. Built in May 1967, with original lacquer and normal signs of wear and tear. No damage or large dents, only the keyguard of the Fis key is missing. You have to play this T4! ..... What a fantastic sound! Check if the sax is still available!

Alto Buescher Aristocrat I versus Big B : identical?

For some time now I have been looking for reliable information on the differences between the various Buescher alto saxophones. I regularly have 1 type in my collection: currently I have both an Aristocrat Series 1 and two Aristocrat Big B alto saxes (1 has been here for revision for a long time).
Because two saxes are in very good (original) condition, I decided to put them both on the workbench and do a complete maintenance check. That gives me the ideal opportunity to accurately compare both saxes and take measurements.
