General description : The King Zephyr series II is the first ´real´ Zephyr model. The series 1 is actual a TrueTone with different engraving and has a different bore and intonation. The Zephyr series 2 has the double socket neck and the 3-strap ringhook. Highly sought after, with a fantastic sound! Perfect for jazz and lead. From soft whispering to high power: this one smokes…. It was built early 1936, and this is one of the first Zephyr Series 2 horns.
Condition : This alto is in almost mint condition! It was completely overhauled by it´s previous owner in 2022, including a perfect relacquer job. Great job done here! There´s no damage, repairs or dents on this sax. It´s in perfect playing condition. The Zephyr bell engraving is just beautiful!. This one has the 3-strap ring hook and the double socket neck. The original neck has no serial number, has no pulldown and fits perfectly.
The horn comes with a very nice new Crossrock dark-blue molded case.
