Artikel: Conn 10M Ladyface
Type : 10M Ladyface
Serial : 277099
Year : end 1936
General description : This is one of the first ´official´ 10M model tenors made by Conn during the 1930´s. The serial number dates it to end 1936 according the serial list found on Saxpics.com. It has the 10M stamp and lacks the M-pre-fix (used on the previous model). This is the most sought-after (pre-war) type with all features, like extra G sharp trill key, forked E key and rolled tone holes. The Ladyface engraving is rather thin, as often seen during this serial range. Definitely original lacquer, with the usual lacquer wear. It's a terrific horn to play, very free blowing! Lots of power, fast ergonomic keywork and a full sound, as can be expected from these horns!
Condition : The sax was completely overhauled in 2015 by Precision Woodwind Service and hardly palyed after the overhaul. It is technically in new condition. The bow section has a mild dent on the bow, and there are a couple of minor pings. No serious damage or repairs! All original cellulose rollers are intact, and all locking screws are present. This horn has two ring strap hooks: the original one and an additional one for better balance.
The original neck is in great shape, with no evidence od pulldown or damage. It has the T-cup octave pip and fits perfectly.
