General description : Here we have one of the pre-war 6M VIII models with serial 300484, build mid 1941 so just before the USA got involved in WW2. The 6M VIII model was introduced early 1937 and has a slightly different neck compared to the standard 6M. Highly sought after, as these 6M´s are supposed to have the best intonation. A pristine example is hard to find these days. This one is a nice relacquer, with only light wear on body and keywork. It looks very nice: no buffing was done. The Ladyface engraving is beautiful and well visible.
Condition : The body is in great shape, with no dents or significant wear. The low C# posts were resoldered. All locking screws and original amber rollers are present. The pads are in good condition. Neck is original (with the VIII stamp), without pulldown. The microtuner is functional. The lyre screw is missing. The tone holes are original and not filed down.
Delivery including a nice brown leather case, in good and functional condition. The original lyre holder and some cleaning stuff is included as well.
