General description : This Transitional 10M Ladyface was built early 1935 and is definitely one of the last Transitional 10M horns, so no 10M stamp near the serial number. It has a unique keyguard for low B/Bb, different to the later 10M´s. This keyguard is very rare and only available on a couple of batches during the end of 1934 and early 1935. Also there´s no keyguard for the Eb vent key. It’s a terrific horn to play, very free blowing! Lots of power, fast ergonomic keywork and a full sound.
Condition : Original lacquer, with normal wear and tear. No damage, repairs or dents. This horn is in great condition. All locking screws are present and it has the original amber rollers. The original neck has the T-cup octave pip. No pulldown on the neck! The pads are oend-of-life but seal well. An overhaul is absolutely required. These are the very best of the Conn tenors and highly sought after.
The horn was tested by a professional player on 22/3/2025: what a great potential!

This one was built just a couple of months before, and already has the 10M stamp (in combination with the different type keyguard for low B/Bb).
