Artikel: Conn C-melody - New Wonder 1

General description : The C-melody horn is not very popular anymore, but these are fantastic saxophones if you´re playing with a piano or guitar. This saxophone is keyed in C so no transformation required. It looks like an alto saxophone but it´s a bit larger. Most of these horns were produced in the 1920´s. Production was discontinued after the Great Depression in 1929, as there was no market for a C-melody horn anymore in the USA.
The standard C-melody was silver-plated, but a small batch were manufactured in Finish 1, so silver plated body with gold plated keywork.

Condition : The sax is in great condition, with no dents, damage or wear. Tone holes are not flattened and in original condition. No rust marks. The keywork has light wear only on the touch points. The bell engraving is perfect and just beautiful!  The neck is in great condition, with fully functional microtuner. All locking screws are present.
This alto was overhauled a couple of years ago by it´s previous owner. The pads (with plastic resonators) are in great condition.
This unique saxophone can use a good cleaning: I´ll leave that to the new owner.
It comes with the original case, complete original mouthpiece and end plug, all in great condition.
