General description : In remarkably good condition, with original lacquer. This is one of the first 6M horns without the rolled tone holes. It was mid of 1948 according to the Conn serial number list on the saxpics website. It's a terrific horn to play, very free blowing! Lots of power and a full sound.
Condition : Overhauled by previous owner in 2015, and an additional full maintenance check in December 2021. The sax is in great playing condition! No damage or dents, just tiny dings on bottom bow section. Of course it has it´s share of lacquer wear from normal use, but it´s still a good looking horn. The Ladyface engraving is very nice. It has a non-original neck from a later model 6M, without microtuner and with nickel plated octave key. No damage or pulldown on the neck. All original amber rollers are in great condition, and all locking screws are present (some were replaced by modern ones). The pads are all in good condition and were threated with pad oil.
