Conn Transitional - Project 2023

Undoubtedly 1 of the most sought-after vintage alto saxophones is the Conn Transitional. These were built in many versions between 1930 and 1936. Much info can be found on Matt Stoher's website, however that info is not complete. 

Project for 2023 is to overhaul about 15 to 18 of these Conn Transitional alto saxes, in all possible versions. These saxes are ready for this in the workshop. This project will probably take more than a year: the intention is also to collect and photograph all technical info. Think about diameter of tone holes and keys, position of keys on body, engravings, difference in necks and many other details that are not yet publicly known.
