General description : Here we have one of the first VIII models with serial 279475. The 6M VIII model was introduced early 1937 and has a slightly different neck compared to the standard 6M. Highly sought after, as these 6M´s are supposed to have the best intonation. A pristine example is hard to find these days. This one is silver plated, with minor wear on body and keywork. It has a unique vintage look. The Ladyface engraving is well visible.
Condition : The body is in great shape, with only one dent on the bottom bow. There are a couple of pings on the bow section. All locking screws and original amber rollers are present. The Reso-pads are older, but this alto is playing rather good on it´s current set of pads. Neck is original (with the VIII stamp) and without pulldown. The microtuner works great.
The original case is included. Springs on the locking mechanism are not working anymore, but the case itself (with the Conn logo) is in rather good condition. The original warranty card is included as well: very rare!
