Artikel: Conn 6M Transitional

General description : A very nice example of the Conn 6M Transitional, with original lacquer, double socket neck and Ladyface engraving. The keywork is identical to the ´real´ 6M Ladyface, but these Transitional alto´s have the old-style 2-ring microtuner on the neck. They also have the swivel thumb rest: unique to the Conn Transitional alto´s. These handmade horns have a huge full sound and unlimited power and can beat any other saxophone on stage.
The neck is probably not original and looks like new. There was a lot of experimentation on the Conn alto´s during this period and they were produced with at least 3 different necks: the standard neck (with the 2-ring microtuner), the Metro neck and the Std.D neck. Condition : Overhauled by previous owner in 2020. The sax is in almost perfect condition, with Conn Reso-pads installed. No damage or repairs, and only minor wear on the touch points. There are a couple of minor pings on the bow section. Very hard to find one of these horns in this condition! All original ambers rollers are present, as well as all the locking screws. The Ladyface engraving is stunning!
Included is a black vintage Selmer tri-pack case, in good working condition. It has some wear on inside and outside but is fully functional, with room for a clarinet and a flute.
